Some of my best sellers are my soaps containing real beer. It’s not ALL beer, but a bit of it in the bar makes for a great soaping experience!
To clear up some misconceptions about soap made with beer:
You can’t get drunk using beer soap. Prior to blending the batch of soap, the beer is simmered, removing the alcohol, while still retaining the sugar, which lends a boost to the lather.
The finished product will not smell like beer. That is unless the maker is adding fragrance to make it so. (I use other fragrances in my beer soap)
So in addition to a lather-boosting bar, you get a handcrafted bar also made with other quality ingredients like shea butter, cocoa butter, olive oil, coconut oil, castor oil, and sometimes, other oils and fats, like palm oil, beef tallow or lard.
So come up to the bar and order a beer…SOAP!
