There are times when I get into a rush and then I start making mistakes. Like when I wanted to blend up a batch of one of my more popular bar soaps, “Outlaw.” Whether I failed to blend well enough, or neglected to “tap out” the pockets of air trapped in the batter, I would consider this to be a failure, but still, a valuable learning experience.
Not one to waste an opportunity, though, I’ve packaged this as bullet-riddled outlaw, Sam Bass, a locally known train robber, who died of gunshot wounds sustained in a battle with Texas Rangers. Special thanks to my friend, Kay Payton, for helping with the name.
Not every bar will have “bullet” holes, but they will all have that great-smelling fragrance, a note of tobacco, topped with bay leaf, and combined with cedarwood and bergamot. Obviously, Sam Bass Bar Soap, at least for now, is a limited edition 😊
