I was speaking to The Good-Looking Guy the other day, telling him that when I was young (in my teens and early 20s), I could do a backbend; I could bend over backward and place my hands on the ground, with my feet still in place. Well, it’s been so long since I attempted anything of that sort that I would certainly injure myself if I tried that now. It seems that every day there’s a new hitch in my giddyup!
While I can’t force my body to be as flexible, I’m trying to get my mind there – trying new things. I’m stepping out of my box, recognizing my flaws and errors, taking on new challenges. Sometimes these are forced upon you, sometimes you have to step in that direction.
A couple of years ago, I would never have dreamed that I would be where I am now, creating bath and body products that I previously never used or cared to use. But here I am, making lotions, creams, and bath bombs. I have always used bar soap and liquid soap, but never thought I would be making my own. And I thought I knew just where I wanted to go with it, but here I am, revising my plan…again. Well, it’s more like refining. I’m exercising my flexibility.
Getting to the point – I’m refining my product line, not because I believe that the products are inferior, but at this point in my business, consolidating and streamlining the processes just makes good business sense. This was reaffirmed to me after coming out of an awesome conference where I met with other bath & body business owners. It was a great way to get my batteries recharged!
